How Handheld Laser Welding Works
Laser light from the source is transmitted through an optical fiber to the handheld welding head, where it is focused onto the workpiece surface. The laser energy is absorbed and converted to heat, melting the material or filler wire. Shielding gas protects the molten pool, forming a high-quality weld that securely joins the two pieces.
The water chiller cools and maintains constant temperature for both the laser source and welding head to protect critical components.
FAQ
Is training included?
Yes. Every machine comes with free online video training (2–4 hours) covering setup, parameter tuning, basic operation, and daily maintenance. Overseas customers can request on-site engineer support.
Can I use it with 220V household power?
Yes. The 1500W model operates on 220V single-phase — a standard workshop outlet works, no special setup needed.
How much faster is it than TIG welding?
Laser welding is 3–10× faster than TIG, with a smaller heat-affected zone, minimal distortion, and smooth welds that need no polishing.
What is the warranty period?
- 12 months full machine warranty from delivery date
- 24 months on laser source and core components
- 3 months on consumables (lenses, nozzles, wire feed wheels)
